Airsoft guns at Walmart - Should I buy it?

Walmart sells airsoft guns for an affordable price, but are they worth it? Well, that depends on what you are looking to get out of that airsoft gun. Walmart carries low end airsoft guns that are geared towards beginners that do not know much about airsoft. If you're seriously looking to get into airsoft, you should consider getting one from a reputable airsoft store, such as Airsoft PX.

Typically the airsoft guns at Walmart, are not built with the same quality as the higher end airsoft guns. The body is made of clear plastic and the internals tend to jam and break. The two most common airsoft guns are spring loaded pistols and AEG's (Automatic Electric Guns).

Spring loaded pistols are hand powered and great for beginners. They typically cost about $30 and it is a cheap investment into the game. However, don't expect to be able to compete with a spring pistol at an airsoft game, as everyone else will have an AEG. However, playing with family and friends, or just target shooting is fine with a spring pistol. I wouldn't recommend getting a pistol from Walmart, but if you do its okay as the difference in performance isn't that great.

AEG's on the other hand, should be purchased at a reputable airsoft store from well known brands such as Classic Army and KWA.
